Magic

Critics can say what they will about the quality of Xanadu but I know it holds some secret power that transcends the screen to anyone open minded enough to half watch it while it plays in the background. How else can I explain my recent good fortune?

True, I only saw a little boy named Bubby at the beach who was captivated by our neon green pail and it's been awhile since my dad and I have had one of our back porch philosophy sessions, but something did happen.  I missed my clinic appointment yesterday due to my son's bus not showing up and today the head of marketing for this area just happened to be there.  I've only seen her there maybe 4 times in nearly 3 years, so the odds of this happening were slim. ( I don't mean to use weight puns but when it's an ongoing problem for years, they're engraved in my psyche.) She asked if I had a few minutes to talk and wanted to know if I would be open to having my story published in the Tampa Tribune!  I think I could handle that. A piece that I've written that means something to me and could possibly help someone can be published anywhere.  Hell, I think I'd be okay with anything I've produced being printed, just look at this blog.  Then, as if that wasn't awesome enough, she asked if I would be willing to speak with the doctor at local organizations to help motivate potential patients!  Double points!  Motivation can be complicated and is different for everyone but I'd be honored to share what has worked for me.
