Ladies Night

Today is International Womans Day and as such I find it imperative that I pass this information onto women all over the world. I'm not aware of any special drink prices at any particular bars, but Rick Springfield, aka Dr. Noah Drake will be performing at 7:30 pm, tomorrow at the Strawberry Festival in Plant City, Florida!!!! Headline Entertainment offered at the Florida Strawberry Festival

For those of you not even born in 1981 - he was a doctor by day on the soap opera General Hospital and a rockstar by night with the release off his hit album Working Class Dog. He went on to have a few hits in the early 80's, (Don't Talk To Strangers, Love Somebody, and Human Touch) but none where as successful as the iconic Jessie's Girl. The song went on to reach #1 on the charts, garnering him a Grammy and teen idol worship along with pop rock status as one of the first videos on the then newly emerging MTV. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, just watch the following video and you too will understand his appeal.YouTube - Rick Springfield - Jessie's Girl

While it's true, the eighties may have come and gone, good music is good music, and Rick will always be dreamy. Even at the age of 62, he still woos the ladies and will continue to tour as long as there are still podunk little towns and middle aged women who were once hooked on General Hospital. Just ask my sister. She saw him perform this past summer in Mansfield, Ohio and let's just say that, between the guitar solos and the high pitched shrieks, many an audience member misplaced their undergarments that night.
