There are some who would say that a woman can't be smart and beautiful. Some who would say they can't be smart, beautiful, and talented. That they can't be smart, beautiful, talented, and funny... They are wrong. Aisha Tyler is all that and she has no badonkadonk. (I feel you on that second part.) A Dartmouth graduate who's made it onto Maxims Hot 100 list more than once, written books, is a Celebrity Jeopardy and Halo champ, has acted on TV and the big screen, is involved in multiple charities, brews her own beer and burns the house down with her stand up act. This chick is straight up all kinds of cool and will be performing this Thursday through Sunday at The Tampa Improv (www.improvtampa.com) in historic Ybor City.
So make a night of it and see what else is on fire in this international hot spot for yourself. A place where you can get a taste of Japanese sushi or Italian cuisine, rummage through vintage French couture, shimmy along to Greek belly dancing, drink a Dirty Leprechaun while listening to the sounds of a kilt wearing Irishman, and smoke an authentic Cuban cigar that has been hand rolled right in front of you.
Just watch out for the freaks and the obnoxious frat boys. You'll spot the weirdos right away by the black leather straight jacket and matching gag ball they casually wear when strolling past you on the sidewalk, while the stupid college guys will be the ones puking and high fiving each other in the parking garage elevator before they even hit the bars and clubs.
Oh, and also avoid making eye contact with any Scientologist,as their headquarters are located just around the corner from the main street and they WILL find you. They're the ones who approach you like they've known you for years and are happy as hell to see you again when you've never seen them before in your life. Of course, they all seem perfectly amicable, stationed on every street corner next to those pretty women, when they're passing out their brochures for their cult, (I mean church), but that's just a brilliant disguise. Behind those kind eyes is a brainwashed mind secretly plotting ways to kidnap you and "clear" your head for the aliens to invade. You don't want it to go down like that.
