Although I may not officially be a spokesperson for Medi, (they should hire me too, I would make the perfect female representative), I still try to get the word out. If Jerome, (not JEREMY Mr. Reporter), can lose 300 pounds in less than a year and a half, then it's not the end for others who are morbidly obese. And you don't have to go through lap band surgery either. A medically supervised program is just as effective and much safer.

I had to laugh at his jeans. I had a pair similar to those without the elastic band, (that was quite a find), and had to catch my breath too. (I would go "wash my hands" in restrooms after walking up two flights of stairs just so no one would notice me gasping for air). Now I can fit in one leg of those jeans and actually catch my sons without being winded when we play tag.
It's encouraging to know that change is possible and that more people are getting their lives back because of this program. I typically don't see many men at the clinic during my weekly visits and today I saw one who looked just as heavy as Jerome once did. The doctor made a point of introducing us and standing there, I never thought that I would be the one the other side of the problem, let alone in a framed after picture at the front desk as a featured patient. No, when I first walked I was so embarrassed and upset with myself and needed my husband there for support, yet there he was by himself and smiling. He's already lost 10 pounds and I think he just may be their new biggest loser. It was the coolest experience and Jerome's ads probably influenced him. I'm really happy for him.
(I hear my go to Hall & Oates song playing in my head, but that's already been done a couple of times before. Maybe something new will come to me. If anyone has any suggestions...)
