Rock On, Nugget!!!

The only thing better than having one child in the talented and gifted program is having your other child in the class too! Yay Nugget! Nuggie Huggies all the way around. Naturally, I found out after returning back from a doctor appointment 3 miles down the road. The one time I allow them to stay home because they don't particulary want to see their mom get a shot in her ass and his teacher calls. I was only gone 15 mins, told them not to answer the phone unless it was me, and now I look like mother of the year.

He still needs to take the IQ test but that's just a formality. My baby is only in second grade and already reads chapter books for breakfast, races through multiplication tables in his head, and creates tales of grandeur on a daily basis. I think he's even more proficient on the computer than I am at this point. Some toddlers play with blocks or toy cars; he gravitated to the computer. We had a feeling even then that the little professor was a prodigy in the making. A silly little boy living in his own world, who loved wearing sunglasses, couldn't stand to wear a shirt, and who was fascinated by a blue screen and a mouse.

That's good because, judging from all the projects his older brother had, he'll have plenty of time to get familar with the workings of word. Wait a minute, come to think of it, I will too as I'm sure he's going to need some help... But with the gift of great intelligence comes great responsibility. His academic journey is just beginning, and although his only aspiration at this point is to work at Game Stop one day, I hope he earns a college degree.
