Born Sunday, July 17th 2011 at 7:25am weighing in at 7lbs 15oz and 20inches tall and with trace amounts of brunette hair, the trademark big lips, and green eyes... Miss Virginia Pierce C.!
According to her parents "Ginny," (a family name and a favorite drink of her parents), immediately peed on her mother after a lengthy 15 hour labor and delivery but is otherwise a complete joy. Older brother Emmett (nearly 2 years old) agrees, stating "Yay, baby here!" while smiling from ear to ear and clapping wildly. This is good sign considering she was born just five days prior to his birthday and will forever have her party before him. His daddy for one, is thankful that he is too young to fully comprehend this and optimistically notes that at least it's a good way to implement the lesson of "ladies first".
The couple is set to stay at the hospital for two days, where they can be checked on by nurses at twenty minute intervals and served the finest cafeteria gourmet food Ohio has to offer. Mr. C advises family and friends to all come at the same time so the couple can attempt to get some sleep and even offers this suggestion for a gift. "We have more than enough toys, clothes, diapers, etc... My baby girl likes the idea of gin for mommy and daddy. Get it, GIN-ny?" Oh Good Lord, let's hope the poor girl doesn't inherit her father's warped sense of humor.
