This weekend marks the 20th Anniversary of Taste of Pinellas in St. Pete's Vinoy Park. Sunshine painting the bay, music wafting through the breeze, and the sweet and savory smells of food stands as far as the eye can see. And not just any food but state fair-esque food like BBQ pork, fried cheese, and yes, ice cream!!!! It's like putting a pothead in Amsterdam and telling them not to inhale. I'll have to come up with a survival game plan since Monday is another weigh in day and I don't want to derail any progress on my new goal. If only there was a protein shake stand. I've been experimenting with new concoctions and you can make just about any flavor under the diet jello/ crystal light rainbow and they're all delicious. Might have to seek out the Cool Juice tent. I hear Johnny Ciao is a coolinary rocker.
