Marilyn just neutralized all the brassy tones in my hair and took me back to my natural color with just a few simple highlights. Welcome back light chestnut brown. I've missed you.
It's been so long. The last time I saw this shade was right after that Sun-In accident during the summer of 92. What a nightmare. I was forced into a butch haircut just to repair the color damage and was consequently mistaken for a guy on more than one occasion my Freshman year of college. Not what a young women just trying to make it on her own hopes for. Luckily, it came in handy though when I was visiting my Mormon boyfriend past curfew. He never seemed to mind which should have been a red flag right there, as later that year, he came out of the closet after dating me for a whole semester. I was convinced my hair had cursed me and haven't been able to return to my natural haircolor ever since.
But that was then and now, nearly twenty years later, I've moved past the pain. I finally found a good hair stylist and I'm ready to go back.
