Day Five

On the fifth day of Christmas, my job gave to me - FIVE hands to hold! It might have been more but I lost count somewhere in the middle of being swarmed by a bunch of munchkins. You let one kid do something they think is special and they all want in. First graders, in particular, are quite the hand holding bunch, but they either didn't seem to realize that I only had two hands or they need to work on their counting skills. Tyler, who spent most of reading centers burping and making fart noises with his armpits,(classic male "peacocking" behavior), even tried to hold my hand twice - a clear violation of the student code. Luckily, this was before he accidentally wet his pants. I'm glad I could be a temporary source of comfort, but now I am compulsively washing my hands.
