Take Two of These and Call Me In the Morning

No, I'm not a doctor, I just play one on my blog. I'm the spokesperson for Medi supplements and an actual patient. They just put out a new starter kit packet and it looks like I made the cut! (I can just see the commercial now, the Medi Weight Loss Girls song playing, some group dance number, some blue wigs, maybe a scale thrown in for good measure...) More specifically, since you can't read the label,I'm endorsing Calcium 4 Blend tablets for Medi and not Colon Cleanse, even though both bottles look exactly the same and both do make my body function better, but in very different ways.

That's right, no one can sell a product like me. Just ask the managers at a certain JcPenneys in Columbus, Ohio. Let's just say there was a slight spike in the number of floral style ties, silk boxers, and matching outfits sold the year I came on board the men's department. That's right, me and my co-worker, gay Rob, really knew how to put those visual displays down, resulting in plenty a satisfied customer and many a grateful girlfriend.

Okay, so maybe that wasn't my best shining moment and Robby deserves more of the credit, but hopefully my family will be more impressed this time around. Just look at that slight head tilt, bright smile, and Vanna White hand modeling. My natural love of supplements, written all over my face, comes directly from my father and this time Dad done good. The old man has been touting the virtues of Ginseng and Aloe for years and is always handing me a bottle of his newest discovery every time I visit and now look. I'm with you no matter what dad, even if mom can't stand the mini vitamin shop you've got going on in the kitchen cabinets next to the booze.

His poor neighbors in the retirement village will never hear the end of this one. (I just hope he doesn't show the new picture to big Ron. He all but volunteered to apply sunscreen to my back the last time I went swimming at the clubhouse pool there and I can't go through that again.) But even if my father does, it's alright. If it plants any ideas about taking more calcium then plug away. The mineral is not only excellent for the prevention of bone loss, (especially for women who are more likely to develop osteoporosis as they become older), but studies also show that it aids in burning body fat too. So make sure to get at least three servings of low fat dairy a day along with plenty of exercise, rest, and a sensible diet.

Oops, there I go again with that silly information stuff. With any luck those days of thinking are over and all I'll have to do is just stand there and look pretty while the deals start rolling in. Look out Britney Spears, and Sally Field there's a new chick in town and I'm packing some serious heat courtesy of a much healthier lifestyle. Today it's Medi, tomorrow the milk mustache ads, and Boniva in my golden years.

*In case there are any big time marketing execs reading this, I also wouldn't mind doing ads for: Nikey, Starbucks, Pantene, Dove, Clorox Bleach Wipes, Arm and Hammer Kitty Liter, Midol, Nuvaring... whatever, as long as I use it and can stand behind it.*
