Not So Lucky Charms

Forgot to leave the door unlocked for the leprechaun the other night. Whoops. I didn't think the boys would completely buy it this year. (Tim knows about the Tooth Fairy now and is very suspicious of Santa.) I figure I've got one, maybe two more years left before the gig is up on Christmas and Easter and didn't want to press my luck on the low man on the totem pole.

However, I heard he made it to Evan's classroom, where he proceeded to ransack the place and turn the toilet water bright green leaving just his shamrock covered top hat as his calling card. That's strange, I don't recall there ever being any leprechaun sighting occurring when I was in elementary school. (And people wonder why kids today feel so entitled.) Like he couldn't just scatter some chocolate gold coins or skittles about the desks for all the boys and girls. Now he's a crude delinquent with nothing to offer. How special for them. At least there were custom made shamrock shakes in green blinking glasses and a Where the Wild Things Are dvd waiting for them at home. Next year, I'm setting the alarm and installing top of the line surveillance cameras around the house just in case I need evidence for the police. Hopefully he won't tp the yard or leave something green in a flaming paper bag by the front door.
