It's a Girl!!!!

I'd like to announce the newest addition to our family, Bella Angel Blackwell, who is every bit as beautiful as her namesake suggests! She's 7 inches tall, 1 lb. 4oz, has light blue eyes, and soft,gray tabby patterned hair. I finally got my girl in the form of an adorable kitten who fits perfectly in the palm of your hand.

This unexpected arrival all came about when Dave went to get his scheduled oil change with Timmy, and while waiting they just happened to stumble upon the free kittens at the nearby Pet City. As luck would have it, he didn't have his cell phone with him to confer with me before making a purchase we'll be living with for at least the next 20 some years, and so he just decided to surprise me, as the kitten would have undoubtedly been gone if he didn't act immediately. Clearly, the two of them together have about as much impulse control as a three year old who has to go to potty.

Luckily, I'm an easy forgive and seeing how cute and lovable she is, I can see how difficult she must have been to resist. Moreover, she brings something new to our home. Compared to our other mellow and timid cat a.k.a her older brother Tiger, Bella is far more spirited and curious. She is also extremely strong willed as she is able to climb anything and anyone while still being barely strong enough to hold on. While we will no doubt spend plenty of money on her shots, and be woken up in the middle of the night by her loud cries, I'd be lying if I said I didn't secretly like having another pet snuggling up next to me. Now, if Tiger could just stop glaring at her and Bella could stop hissing at him...
